The Cathedral Chapter is the
corporate body which governs and administers Cathedral Church affairs.
Made up of canonists and by presided over by the Dean, the Chapter
members are elected in a secret vote held every five years in which
the entire body of Chapter members casts a ballot.
The Cathedral Chapter is divided into various sub-bodies, including
the Chapter Plenary, the Advisory Board, the different commissions
(Liturgy, Sacred Music, Patrimony and Protocol), the Economic Council,
the Commissaries, and the Departments (the Cathedral Secretariat,
Economic Administration, Museum, Archive and Library).
The Very Revd. Bishop Carlos López Hernández is at the
head of both the Diocese and the Cathedral.
